|
|
| Got a 1.6.19 with ctcpfix and RootieŽs ssl patch applied configured and properly installed, it starts just fine and gives no errors. The problem is that it wont connect to the given network. IŽve configured for Linknet (Other network=5), added a few Linknet servers, all working, and started as usual with ./eggdrop -m config.conf. Default port is 7000, the shell it is on got ssl properly installed but no show. Might have missed something in the conf, havent been running an eggie for years now, but it seems not very likely. Any hints what i should check? |

I know nothing about ssl or connecting to 'other networks' but the first thing I tend to do when an Eggdrop is not connecting is read eggdrop.log. That should at least tell you if it is trying to connect. _________________ I must have had nothing to do |

| Otherwise, try telnetting to it and watch what happens when you type '.jump', maybe you need to change your console settings to see results, see '.help console' |

Thanks for advices, dudes. The one problem is that the eggie does not even create a log even if it is configured in the .conf file to do so. In conf file it says logfile mco * "logs/eggdrop.log" but theres no such logfile created.
Is it possible to telnet to the eggie even if its not properly connected to a network? |

Yes you can telnet the bot if it is running. Not on the standard telnet port though, on the port you set in the .conf file
listen xxxx all _________________ I must have had nothing to do |
