hey everyone i'm tring to write a script and need a little help plz.. i'm totally new to this stuff lol.... i know what i want it to do just don't know how to do it. i've seen a similar script being used in 1 irc channel but can't find a script like that or one that does what i want it t do.

k first this script is for a glftpd FTP server i need it so that in the channel they type a trigger and it will send them the ftp info ip address, port, it uses there irc nick for the logon name an i want it to send them a random password to logon with. they logon get what they need then when they log off it deletes the accout the person logged on with. also what about using a db to keep the logon name pass and stats ect.? the ip address is only kept incase they break the rules its only used to ban the person. the stats are only associated by there nick not ip. i think a db may be better for that stuff? i would also like it so they have to stay in the channel if not the get banned from the ftp. id like it so i can set the penalty for 1st 2nd 3rd offense and possibly ban from irc room on 3rd offense.

i posted this msg some time ago and again acouple days ago in the tcl script help but i got no responses so figured i would try it again in here and see if someone will help me with this. id appreciate any help you guys can give me..

most probably you havent received any kind of help because glftpd is mainly related to copyrighted material to be distributed through the internet.

regardless of that fact: you wont be able to do something like that without having full access to the ftp daemons userfiles and so on, and so on. better look in glftpd forums for such things.
