Hello,

I'm running an eggdrop from a slackware 12.0 machine. Everything works fine, but there's one thing that bugs me. I can't change the bots ident, it stays 1001, whatever I do.

I edit this setting, but it still doesn't help.

This setting has no effect if an ident daemon is running on your bot's machine. You pretty much already said it. Smile you should check what ident demon is running the shell and change it that way.
