Is it possible to change what the bot says back to you on the initial "/msg hello"? The generic response is very blah, I'd like to change it to something better if possible. I think its somewhere within the pre-compiled files, but I cannot find i t anywhere.

I would NEVER recommend this at all. However, you can edit/change/modify most of the things like the output from the bot when you first do /msg <botnick> hello by editing the language files in the language/ directory. This can be found in core.<language-name>.lang file if you wish to edit whats mentioned above.
