Hi guys , when i launch my eggdrop bot , it doesn't connect to the server.

[13:31] Trying server irc-m03.icq.aol.com:6667
[13:31] DNS resolved irc-m03.icq.aol.com to 64.12.165.35
[13:32] Timeout: connect to irc-m03.icq.aol.com
[13:32] Trying server irc-m04.icq.aol.com:6667
[13:32] DNS resolved irc-m04.icq.aol.com to 64.12.165.36

Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?


Check those server addresses.
I suspect they are not correct, or that the server is not online - because I can't connect to it either.

I changed it to the main one and it's the same.

[13:56] Trying server irc.icq.com:6667
[13:57] Timeout: connect to irc.icq.com
[13:57] Trying server irc.icq.com:6666
[13:58] Timeout: connect to irc.icq.com
[13:58] Trying server irc.icq.com:6665

irc.icq.com does work for me.


Is your bot on a shell? Can you run irssi via SSH, and try to connect to irc.icq.com with irssi? ... I wonder if your shell is blocked.

Can you try other servers with your bot? Will it connect to them normally?
