There is the code with everything removed except the telnet mask.
Heres the log on the partyline when i try to dcc chat:
| Code: | [15:29] Refused DCC chat (no access): marvz!pedro@netadmin.irc4lyf.com
[15:29] CTCP CHAT: CHAT 1173281226 5554 from marvz (pedro@netadmin.irc4lyf.com)

The * means you don't have access to it, thus the refused DCC Chat. Do a '.whois marvz' again and post the results. _________________ Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box. |

| Code: | .whois marvz
[09:42] #marvz# whois marvz
HANDLE PASS NOTES FLAGS LAST
marvz yes 0 hjlmnoptx 09:42 (partyline)
HOSTS: -telnet!*@*
|
That's the result. It only has the telnet mask loaded. I removed all the other hostmasks as previously instructed. |

That part was only to double-check that there's no other user record matching you.
Should've mentioned that you should restore your hostmasks afterwards, sorry 'bout that. _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |

And to restore your hostmask, my personal preference is to use the
.adduser
command. In other words, let the bot determine the hostmask for itself, thus eliminating typos, wrong format, etc.
Log into partyline via telnet.
Use the .adduser command on yourself.
Check the results with .whois to be sure it really added your current hostmask to your account.
Then, try again, to log in via DCC.
Let us know what happens. |

| So I added the hostmask with the .adduser command in the partyline. I still can't dcc or ctcp. |

Thus, we can only conclude that there is nothing wrong with the hostmasks, nor has there been.
One different approach; could you paste the output from:
.binds ctcp all _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |

This is the output to the partyline:
| Code: | .binds ctcp all
[16:47] #marvz# binds ctcp all
Command bindings:
TYPE FLGS COMMAND HITS BINDING (TCL)
ctcp -|- CHAT 0 *ctcp:CHAT
ctcp -|- TIME 1 *ctcp:TIME
ctcp -|- CLIENTINFO 1 *ctcp:CLIENTINFO
ctcp -|- USERINFO 0 *ctcp:USERINFO
ctcp -|- VERSION 2 *ctcp:VERSION
ctcp -|- ERRMSG 0 *ctcp:ERRMSG
ctcp -|- PING 1 *ctcp:PING
ctcp -|- ECHO 0 *ctcp:ECHO
ctcp -|- FINGER 0 *ctcp:FINGER
ctcp -|- DCC 16 *ctcp:server:DCC
|
and here's the message I get when I try to DCC now:
| Code: | [16:48] CTCP DCC: CHAT CHAT 1173281226 5503 from marvz (pedro@netadmin.irc4lyf.com)
[16:48] DCC connection: CHAT (marvz!pedro@netadmin.irc4lyf.com)
[16:49] [marvz!pedro@netadmin.irc4lyf.com] Pending DCC. 60 secs to timeout
[16:49] [marvz!pedro@netadmin.irc4lyf.com] Pending DCC. 30 secs to timeout
[16:50] #spf (+trna) : [m/32 o/9 h/1 v/19 n/3 b/0 e/0 I/0]
[16:50] Lost dcc connection to marvz (pedro@netadmin.irc4lyf.com/5503)
|
Now it doesn't say that I don't have access to the bot. Hope that helps. |

Is your eggdrop running behind the same masquerading router (NAT)/SOHO firewall as your irc client? _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |

Then I am running very low on ideas.
Though, given that the "no access" error is no longer present, whatever issues with your hostmasks seems to have been sorted. The current information suggests that your eggdrop fails to connect to your client on the specified ip and port (1173281226 => 69.238.217.202, port 5503 in the last posted attempt).
I could only suggest that you check your client end, that the IP address is correct, and any firewall has proper port forwarding. _________________ NML_375, idling at #eggdrop@IrcNET |
