So... I might be barking up the wrong tree here and I apologize in advance if I am.

Right now we run a private SSL secured IRC server for our engineers to collaborate. We have an eggdrop bot on the channel for various other tasks, including logging, and we'll soon be publishing the logs to a private website for later perusal.

We would like for everyone who isn't logged in to be able to see the history easily... in my mind the easiest way to do this would be for the eggdrop bot to pay attention to when someone logs off, then when they log back on, greet them with the full history of what they missed.

Maybe this is better done with a bouncer, but bouncers all seem to be made to be set up by a person, not for all members of the channel.

Has this already been done? Am I in the wrong place?
