world filter?

Post by philmore12 »

while experimenting with some scripts and getting my bot set up to do different things i had to issue the .die command and i put "having a bitch fit in the comment line"

in response my bot displayed the following

Statbot : Quit (Quit: having a <censored> moment)

it censored the word and i have no scripts setup to do that.

is there a setting in the eggdrop i missed that filters words?

I honestly doubt that. This sounds like something server side.
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

I agree with caesar.

Just experimented on one irc server that I frequent, and I could duplicate that which you describe, with channel mode settings.
On that server, channel mode +G did it.
G = Filters out all Bad words in messages with <censored>
and the list of channel modes available could be viewed with:
/helpop chmodes
I suppose that varies, from network to network.
