i have looked at the couple of bible bot type tcl scripts i could find and cant find one that uses a kjv bible .
i have a slightly altered king james mysql database from biblesql.net
which has fields cap(chapter no),verse(verse no),line(the verse),fullname(fullname of book)
i have mysqltcl installed.
i did have a look at some of the other scripts that use mysql databases but it all seems far to technical for me
can any of you tcl gurus help please  |

There is this script which does support any mediawiki (wikimedia) enabled site. Of these sites, can be of course as shown above the bible using biblewiki.be. Maybe this can suffice until someone can help you find one based upon sql tables. The script presently has some features broken, but quite soon you will find an update for these. This is a script likely you are already using as every eggdrop _should_ be using it. The !bible trigger is "custom trigger phrasing" linked to biblewiki.be using it's built-in mediawiki engine. It allows you to extend the script and customize it to your channel entirely. The name of the script of course, Incith:Google .. ;D
It is also, entirely multi-language which most people don't quite realize. This script work for any languages bible. The latin english based biblewiki.be is merely for demonstration. It can work the same for any mediawiki enabled bible in any language. You want arabic? It can do that. Japanese? It can do that just as well. Make sure for non-latin languages that you patch your bot for utf-8 using this patch --> http://eggwiki.org/utf-8
