I am hoping please that someone can help me with a problem I have.

Since reinstalling my eggdrop bot, the hints have changed and, after thorough searching through files, i cannot find how to get it back to normal

Before, the bot always gave letter and vowel hints but now you have to ask for a hint (!hint) and all you get is either scrambled or reverse hints

I have lost so many players since this happened because they dont like the new format

Can anyone tell me please what I change to get the original format back?

The bot is registered so all these should be available.

I thought it was as it said "Eggdrop help".. sorry if I am wrong

I dont understand what you mean by "trivia script".. the bot came as a whole trivia game - i edited the config file etc and uploaded and it works fine except for the hint situation.

I know it is registered but cant find any reference to it... maybe thats the problem as things dont work 100% if its not registered but we are talking 6 years ago and its hard to remember

Eggdrop is an irc bot, and does a little channel control by default.

Eggdrop has Never included a trivia game by default.

So, exactly what did you download and install?
When you start the bot, what does it tell you it is?

I still insist this is Not an Eggdrop question, but is a trivia game question.
No one can help you with your trivia game if you don't know what game it is.

It seems to be the only trivia game at version 6.0

Yes you are correct - it is Nerfbendr's Triviabot v6.0 Beta and so sorry i didnt know how to answer your question.

I am thinking from your reply that you wont be able to help me - its run on a shell account and is fine except for this hint problem

I am considering changing it altogether if I cant solve the problem - anyway, I will keep looking and maybe will come up with the answer to my problem
