Hi!
I installed Eggdrop latest version on my Shellmix.com storage. I setted up master password to my Eggdrop bot via mIRC.
I start dcc with this command: /ctcp _Xbot chat
But I get an error message:
| Code: | DCC Chat session
-
Client: _Xbot (79.133.201.66)
Time: Sun Dec 30 21:40:04 2012
-
Acknowledging chat request...
-
Unable to connect
-
DCC session closed |
Whats the real problem? How to I connect to my bot with dcc?
I not tried telnet, because Shellmix is not allowed it.
Thank you! |

You are using mIRC as your irc client, so I would just do a simple DCC chat with the bot.... Right click the bots' nick, in the channels nick list, and choose, DCC -> Chat
If that don't work... try a dcc chat with a normal user on the irc channel the same way, and see if your dcc is blocked by your router or firewall. If it is, you will have to get the clients dcc ports set up:) _________________ SpiKe^^

I tried xdcc send command on another bot (its not mine), it works fine.
So that mean, my Eggdrop bot's config is bad and my mIrc is good?
I set my router config to DMZ. |

It could be a firewall issue (i encountered this problem before). Meaning that if you would try to connect let say from home to a server (where the eggdrop is hosted which is another PC of course) firewall wouldnt allowed any foreign access. So this could only be solved by the server administrator
You could also change the eggdrop's port and/or try dcc chat the eggdrop from the same server (where the eggdrop is hosted) install a psybnc or something and try dcc chat then |
