So when I telnet into eggdrop, I get this after I input my username that I first created with the "NEW" command when first running eggdrop:
| Code: | Please enter your nickname.
Can't telnet until you have a password set.
Connection to host lost. |
I tried Googling for information, but the only solution I found says that I have to message the bot the password on IRC, but on the IRC network I'm on, the /msg command is disabled (you cannot private message on this IRC network).
What can I do to log into my bot? |

Small questions:
- do you use the same username ?
- Is your .user file created and saved ?
- Have you tried deleting it and restart the eggdrop with the -m option ? _________________ https://www.eggdrop.fr - French IRC network

| I got it working by joining a different IRC network that allows PRIVMSG temporarily and setting the password there |
