I'd like to know why the bot, when joining at a chanel, removes bans and gives the @ to the owners. I don't want neither one thing nor the other.

And.. I want NO protections for anybody.

21:16 MYBoT ¦ -bitch -autoop -autovoice -nodesynch

Start by going here:

http://www.egghelp.org/commands/channels.htm#chaninfo

and scroll down and find:
nodesynch
and
userbans

Read about them, and experiment with them.

Try this:

In the partyline, do:
.whois <owner's handle>

to view the owner's account.
Examine the flags.

Then go here:
http://www.egghelp.org/commands/core.htm#whois
and read about both of the
a
flags. Does the owner that is being auto-op'd have either of the "a" flags?

I hope this helps.

Prior to this post , as he had looked at that link , so I put the commands -clearbans , -autoop , -autohalfop , -protectops , -protectfriends , -protecthalfops , all with negative sign, in order to disable them .

The owners , the roots and admins have the flag +a.

Why the bot removing bans at joining channels and continues gives @ to owners , admins and roots ?

What would be the right setting for the channel #test that does not happen ?

??
Did you follow the link I posted, and look up the flag a ?

It clearly says:
Quote:

a global auto-op (always op this user on join)

That looks to be exactly what you are observing, and that you said you did not want to happen.
Logically then, you remove the +a flag from those users that you do not wish to be auto-op'd.

Have you tried it yet?

Have you read about the
userbans
setting yet? Have you tried changing it to + ?

So ... did that fix it? Did that stop it from removing other bans?
