taking ownership of the eggdrop

Post by fridjiit »

I have a problem, we have a bot that we just purchased in our channel. It was sitting in the channel when I arrived, had been there most of the day.
I messaged the bot "hello" the bot messaged back "you are now the owner of this bot."

Then my connection dumped
and i never got to set a password. How do I get the password in when the bot doesn't take either telnet (no password) or /dcc chat (never acknowledges even tho dcc is on in cpanel)?

Any Idears?

If it doesn't recognize you any more then should stop the bot, remove the Something.user file, start the bot and do the hello message again.

Something in the text above is what you set in your eggdrop.conf file at set usefile line.
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.
