Group bot nicks?

Post by crymsun »

Would like to be able to add nicks to the bot via grouping/nickserv. So two questions - via telnet/dcc:

- what is the command to change the bot's nick?
- what is the command to group a new nick with its registered nick?

All the topics i found dealt with identify scripts... don't need that, as mine works just fine... but am hoping to be able to change the bot's nick without having to re-register it each time.

As always... thanks so much!

From the partyline, try:
.set nick NewNickHere

You must enable the use of the .set command for yourself (owner) from within eggdrop.conf, first.

That sounds like it would be a NickServ command, and nothing to do with Eggdrop.

Try something like:
/msg nickserv help
or
/msg nickserv help group

On many networks, this will cause NickServ to send you help on how to use its group command.

I hope this helps.
