hi there i got an error druing the installation

Code:
h5827:~/eggdrop # make install

Eggdrop v1.6.15 (C) 1997 Robey Pointer (C) 2003 Eggheads

Installing in directory: '/root/eggdrop'.

Renamed the old 'eggdrop' executable to 'oeggdrop'.
Copying new 'eggdrop' executable and creating symlink.
/usr/bin/install: cannot stat `eggdrop': No such file or directory
make: *** [install-bin] Error 1
h5827:~/eggdrop #         
do anyone know what i must do ??!?
