I had a 1.6.15 eggdrop where I have modified the source code acording to a post found here so it would skip the default flood protection and flood text as fast as it could instead.. This is because the bot is on a private server and acts as a informative bot and therefore need to output large amounts of data and get lagged if it's not allwoed to flood..

I tried the same modification on my 1.6.17 eggdrop.. but then it could no longer connect to the server.. Connected but got ping timeout..

So I wonder if there is anyone who knows if this can be done in 1.6.17.. and if possible.. if it can be done without giving the bot ircop..

Thnx
