firewall problems
try to connect to irc from your shell using console irc client (ircii, bitchx) or telnet |

| well the weird is that im running my eggie and ircd server on the same box, and i can connect to my server under ssl from mirc on another box on the same network, but i cant get my eggdrop compiled with ssl to enter the ssl ircd server runnig on the same box, weird |

i had the same prob and putting this where the server module is loaded did the trick for me.
