updating error?

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Kindprozeß gab Status 1 zurück.
tar: Fehler beim Beenden, verursacht durch vorhergehende Fehler.

It dosent work o0

Download file again (i suggest from ftp.eggheads.org), maybe that which you have is broken.

Is updating important?

Edit: Oh, my WinRar cant open this file... unknow format or damaged..

But winrar can open this format isnt it?

Did you re-load it?

tar xvzf eggdrop1.6.16.tar.gz should really work

WinRar can handle gzipped tar-archives aswell afaik

WinAce .. WinRAR is a little 'iffy' with tarballs. WinAce is the most reliable to extract tarballs within a Windows environment.

Or maybe you want to get UnxUtils from SourceForge. There is a tar- and gunzip-binary included i think
