eggdrop 1.6.19 released

Post by MenzAgitat »

eggdrop 1.6.19 is finally out! : ftp://ftp.eggheads.org/pub/eggdrop/GNU/ ... .19.tar.gz

and for windrops : http://windrop.sourceforge.net/downloads.html
Look at the CVS version, it has the same release date than the eggdrop one (which is final).

Until there is an official announcement of any new release the above will always apply.

When a new version is out, do we have to do the eggdrop.conf over again? Or just replace certain files?

There's nothing new in the eggdrop.conf AFAIK so there's no need to re-edit it.

The new conf in 1.6.19 will automatically load quotepass.tcl or quotepong.tcl depending on your net-setting. (Scripts to automatically validate your bot on servers requiring authentication for non-identd clients).

This post here http://forum.egghelp.org/viewtopic.php?t=15638 This script works on my freeBSD and Windrop.... But Now it don't on either with version 1.19, gets same error when I used openSUSE so I got rid of that. Can't find any category trivia script becides that one. So long as I stay on freeBSD and v 1.18 this has no issue/error.
